exp12 . the new producers' gallery for contemporary photography in Berlin / Prenzlauerberg opened January 2010 with the exhibition . twelve exposures . 12 individual views by Verena Blank, Eva Brunner, Dorothee Deiss, Mark de Longueville, Oona Eberle, Nadine Ethner, Olle Fischer, Birgit Krause, Claire Laude, Anna Meschiari, Susanne Schneider, Nicole Woischwill - curated by Nadine Koch. In Summer 2011 photographer Isabel Kiesewetter and curator Jenny Graser (until October) joined the collective.

exp12 . is a group of 12 art photographers who met at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie Berlin and who have already drawn attention with national and international exhibitions.

exp12 . a gallery with atmosphere - offers a place for a dialogue on contemporary photography, as well as news from the scene in Berlin and across Europe.

exp12 . in addition to its gallery activity considers itself a forum for photographers, curators, collectors, and the interested public. The international network of freelance photographers is invited to join its experiences and relationships in a vivid dialogue with other galleries, institutions, and art fairs for the advancement of the community as a whole.

exp12 . holds workshops, discussion evenings and lectures. The presentation of new photography projects and books give insight into the individual work of each photographer. It is intended as a visible work in progress profiting from personal interaction, curiosity, and the joy of experimenting.
